Privacy Policy

Living Grimoire is a personal practice journal. This policy says plainly what the app holds, where it lives, and who can see it. The short version: your grimoire is yours; we run no analytics, show no ads, sell nothing, and track no one.
What the app holds
- Your email address — used only to sign you in (a one-time code is sent to it) and to know which grimoire is yours.
- Your grimoire — the guides, plants, encounters, readings, captures, and journal fields you create. This is your data, and the app exists to keep it for you.
Where it lives
Your grimoire lives on your device first. When you are signed in, it also syncs to a private database (hosted on Supabase) so your phone and desktop stay the same. Every record is locked to your account with row-level security: no other person can read or write your rows. Journal fields the app marks as private-to-you (such as your own inner-state notes) are never shared with anyone, structurally.
The council (AI readings)
Readings and council conversations are generated by Claude, an AI model from Anthropic. When you draw or ask, the app sends Anthropic: the council’s instructions, a one-line index of your grimoire (names and themes — not your histories or journal text), and your conversation. Anthropic’s API terms do not permit them to train models on this data. No reading is ever generated without your explicit action.
The community grimoire (optional)
If you choose to share a teaching with your circle, it is first rewritten to remove personal identity — human names never survive, dates blur to seasons — and you see the exact text before it is shared. Shared teachings are anonymous, and you can withdraw yours at any time. Nothing is ever shared without your explicit, per-entry choice.
What we do NOT do
No analytics. No advertising. No tracking, fingerprinting, or third-party data sharing beyond the two services named above (Supabase for storage and sign-in, Anthropic for AI readings). No selling of anything to anyone.
Your control
You can export your entire grimoire as a file from Settings at any time — it belongs to you. To delete your account and its synced data, contact us at the address below and it will be done.
Children
Living Grimoire is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will appear here with a new date.
